Second annual Ishyaka meet: the Swim/Skate Endurance Challenge, Karongi

A first of its kind in Rwanda: swimming in Lake Kivu and skating on the shore, with the Rwanda Skating Federation.

Karongi Ishyaka × Somerset Dolphins Swimathon

One swimathon across two time zones: Karongi started, the two pools swam together for a two-hour overlap, and Maryland brought it home. On the shore beside our swimmers, we held a child safeguarding training open to every parent, with the Rwanda National Police, the District Gender & Youth Officer and a child rights lawyer.
